Another little piece from the AU we’ve been playing around with. This is current with the storyline we’re playing, and Cullen’s son, Mo, is seven here. He’s a very sensitive little guy and has faced some teasing for knowing Orlesian and having a slight accent. Unfortunately, due to experiences in the camp, Laica has a very strong fear reaction to spoken Orlesian. Cullen is trying to avoid traumatizing both of them.
Cullen dried his hands and hung up the dishtowel before heading into the living room. Mo was sitting on the floor in front of his block castle that he’d been working on all day. All it lacked now was the arched entrance on the outside wall, and Mo’s face screwed up in concentration as he placed the columns.
Some Valentine’s Day silliness! Happy V-day!
Snorting over the “let me brush your hair” Valentine. XDDDD
Finally! Something from me! I’ve actually been working on a Lils’ piece, but this wanted to be written.
This is set in the Modern AU we’re playing with. Here there are legal partnerships as well as marriage, and legal partnerships are more common except with the nobility. They’re a more flexible legal recognition of relationships, and they have to be renewed periodically. In Northern Ferelden, where this story is set, they’re renewed every three years.
Leili and Cullen partnered three years ago because they thought it was the responsible choice in light of her unintentional pregnancy.
This is set several years prior to the current story.
It’s past 2 a.m. when he pulls up to their house, the tiny one-bedroom thing that his father had found for them to rent. It’s cramped, but it’s the best he can afford for the three of them on a new cop’s salary. Better than the apartment they had in Denerim while he was in the academy, but it’s quiet for Leili he knows.
Greagoir and Irving both knew about Cullen’s attraction to the Mage Warden, which is why they commanded him to be the one to kill her if she failed her Harrowing, to make sure that he could follow through with his duty no matter what.
I could totally see that.
Headcanon accepted.
That’s been my headcanon for a while. Also Cullen knew exactly what they did and why they did it.
Yep, that’s pretty much my take on it too. There are a lot of tests for individual templars as well, I’m sure, and especially ones like that.
I was at the Circle Tower in Ferelden during the Blight. I saw firsthand how templars’ trust and leniency can be rewarded. A firmer rein may have prevented that entire Circle from being annulled.

I had planned to go to sleep and get rid of my headache… instead I photoshooooped Cullen’s head onto this…
and I’m not even sorry… he DOES have skilled fingers… :3
Holy smite!
The backstory to this is that someone a couple of years ago challenged me to come up with lyrics for an Anders/Cullen duet. So I wrote one, basing it on the structure of “Confrontation” from Les Mis.I was just reminded that it exists today. So. Here!
Nowhere You Can Hide (That Never…
I now have a desire for Dragon Age: The Musical. I love this <3
Here, have a small selection of Dancing Cullen (in a variety of armours, because why the fuck not).
